Caldecott Metal Homepage - This award is presented each year to an illustrator of a picture book for children published in the last year.

Newbery Metal Homepage - This award is presented each year to an author of a children's book published in the last year in the United States.

Margaret A. Edward's Award - This award is given annually to an author for lifetime achievement in writing for teens.

Coretta Scott King Award - This award is given to an African American author and an African American illustrator for an outstandingly inspirational and educational contribution published during the previous year.

Mildred L. Batchelder Award - This award is given annually to a U.S. publisher for an outstanding translated book for children.

Laura Ingalls Wilder Award - This award is given to an author for making a substantial contribution to literature for children.

Jane Addams Book Award - This award is given to the children's book of the preceding year that most effectively promotes the cause of peace, social justice and world community.

Pura Belpre Award - This award is presented to a Latino/Latina writer and illustrator whose work best portrays, affirms, and celebrates the Latino cultural experience in an outstanding work of literature for children and youth.

Michael L. Printz Award - This award is given for literary excellence in young adult literature.

U. S. Children's Book Awards

State Award Books - Each year, children in many states read titles from selected reading lists and vote for their favorite books.
