Junior Volunteers

Youth in grades 6 to 12 are invited to apply for a position as a Junior Volunteer for the summer library program.

JVs help with reading activities, performances, storytimes, craft programs, games and contests, decorating, etc. Junior Volunteers will be invited to special events, will receive prizes, and letters of reference at the end of the summer. The Junior Volunteer program provides opportunities for teens to interact with young children, demonstrate skills such as cooperation and responsibility, and develop good work habits.

Junior Volunteers are vital to the success of our summer program. If you are interested and can commit to 25 or more hours of volunteer service between the end of school and early August, please pick up an application form. Applications will be available in the library and online in late April and are due the Saturday before Memorial Day at 5 p.m. The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Monona Public Library.
