Home > Booked for Life
More than 100 of your friends and neighbors (listed below) have donated or pledged over $93,000 to help build the Monona Public Library’s collection of books, DVDs and other circulating materials. AND NOW YOU HAVE EXTRA TIME TO DONATE!!
Any sized donation is welcome and will be matched by the Madison Community Foundation!
You can join them and help earn FREE MONEY for the library…but the clock is ticking. This offer has been extended until March 31, 2010.
What’s the deal? The Madison Community Foundation will give the library 50 cents for each $1 donated to the Monona Library’s Booked for Life fund – up to $50,000 if you help the library raise $100,000. The money donated and matched will be preserved and only the earned interest used for purchases, which means your donation is a forever gift.
Who can give? Anyone.
- If you’re in a position to donate a little or a lot, great!
- If you want to give as an individual or business, great!
- If you want to pool your resources with friends, co-workers or relatives to give a lump sum, great!
How can I give?
- By check payable to Monona Community Foundation dropped off at the library or mailed to:
Monona Library Foundation
1000 Nichols Road
Monona, WI 53716
- By pledging now and paying later, which you can do through installments up until December 2011. To pledge, fill out a Booked for Life postcard at the library or download a pledge form by clicking here, then send it to the foundation address above.
- By charge card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express) in person at the library or through the downloaded pledge form.
- By donating cash at the library.
Any benefits for me? Besides a warm heart, lots!
- When you give $60 or more as an individual or $100 as a business, you get “Booked for a Day,” meaning you pick a day when the library will be renamed in your honor, the “Library Owner” parking place is yours, you get space to plug favorite library items and a certificate commemorating your special day.
- When you donate $500 or more, you get “Booked for Life,” meaning your name will appear on a bookplate in each book purchased as the result of your donation, and you get a notice about the title chosen. If you like, you can specify the type of materials you want added in your name.
- Contributors at the $500 and up level will be included in a drawing for a special prize: A Lake Monona spring or summer sunset cruise for eight, including beverages and appetizers, on a Pontoon Porch leaving from the East Side Club.
- All donations are tax-deductible!
